Let me start with saying I don’t usually do event photography but when I got asked to do a “documentary” on the Jedi Music Festival in Southport, Merseyside I was honoured to be involved. I won’t go into the story behind the charity as you can find all the important information on their site. To be honest, I don’t really enjoy this kind of photography, only because I prefer to work with models and interact with the people I am making pictures with. I like to be able to be creative with my shots and not just capture moments of time.
The day was a long one for my usual stints behind the camera and I made almost 2000 pictures. Not that many really for a day’s work but I think I captured the event from beginning to dark. The shots that are here are my favourite. There will be more up on the Jedi site soon with more details of the day.
